Oil on canvas – 16,14 x 10,63 inch – Unique work

If there was a place, a space, a country where we would just feel good. Just …

And there, very close to us, our heart, our soul would grow an extraordinary plant. Its leaves would be green…. really green but not half green, totally, fully green and alive. They could rub against us, sometimes brush against us and deposit this colorless, painless, odorless magic substance that would leave a mark on us, in our body, our bones. This liquid would soak our blood, and infiltrate our brains through our many vessels. Awesome!

And then there would be this flower. A majestic creature in orange-yellow tones that would give off a discreet, sweet, salty, spicy fragrance … Anyway, this aroma would live up to our expectations, hopes, dreams. Everything that shapes our minds, our murderous thoughts! And then these small boats carrying like pistils in assorted colors, would detach from its stem and fly in the air to show us a way, the way. In any case, it would be, all at once, an invisible, unpredictable and intuitive road. A common purpose to be achieved all together. So crazy!

We could close our eyes just a moment. We could just as well imagine a world full of color, scent, sweetness, warmth, happiness … It would be the wonderful effect of this heavenly plant. It would be a sudden future, a certain future, a peaceful future. It would be like believing in it for good, despite everything, why not!

We could watch this phenomenal delight intensely. We could then observe an ideal, pleasant, sentimental, wonderful, cheerful world … It would be as if magical powers had interfered in our subconscious, unconscious, too conscious!

I would like life to come out of this painting and spread among you. May it invade you with intense, huge tingling, at the edge of dementia. Let it encourage you to let go, let it happen here and now. May it give you the envy to want, the desire to live right away. May it bring you the ultimate endless possibilities, both chosen and to come. Let it fill you elsewhere or here with simple little things, unique little things, personal little things, expected little things, unannounced little things, little things forgotten, found, preserved, loved …

My bird of paradise would be all of these at once…
