It&#8217;s not for lack of trying. Maybe waking her up early\nwasn&#8217;t such a good idea after all. Yet pressing with his left front\npaw on the sliding hallway door and making a hell of a fuss had paid\noff last week. And despite the presence of the door wedge and the\nfirst two volumes of the Le Littr\u00e9 encyclopedia to block, the noise\nis just as deafening. Normally, that should have pissed her off and\nmade her react&#8230; \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>But obviously, not\nthis time. Despite extreme motivation, Charly despairs. Today, he has\na date with his neighbor on the balcony opposite. Well, he checked,\nshe&#8217;s not there yet but he hates being late. He met her quite by\nchance two days ago. Her humans had just moved in and she felt sad\nand lonely. Charly quite naturally started the conversation, even if\nit meant attracting the wrath of all the tomcats in the neighborhood.\nShe is magnificent. Her red coat literally bewitched him. He\nabsolutely must go out on the balcony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hey, he hears a\nnoise in the bedroom\u2026 He leaves the living room trotting. No, no\nmeowing, he chooses to lay low. It is indeed his human mother who\ngets up. He is so happy. She goes to the kitchen, prepares her\ncoffee. Well, that&#8217;s all very nice, but how do I make her understand\nthat she has to open the balcony door?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Charly decides to go\nfor broke. He stands in front of the window and stretches his front\nlegs full length on the glass. He pushes a whispered meow, very soft\nto attract a little more attention but not too much, just enough to\ncoax her. He is lucky, the weather is nice, the sky is almost blue.\nThe gods are with him today!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As he turns to&#8230;\nShe&#8217;s here, she&#8217;s coming. He can hear her bare feet squeaking on the\nfloor. She moves her hand towards the handle and \u2026 tada, it\u2019s\nopen. She really is the best human mom in the whole world!
