There are moments in life when it’s as if time stands still, when it\u2019s such an harmony that you could say it’s paradise on earth. This special day is one of those moments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Opale, Lola, and\nMarina are childhood friends. They met in kindergarten. Sometimes\nthey remember that first day with a certain emotion. The one that\nchanged the course of their lives forever. Forty years have passed\nsince then, and it’s as if it were the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s Lola’s birthday\ntoday. Opale and Marina have decided to surprise her. They each have\nfamilies, children or not, ex-husbands, wives; life hasn’t been kind\nto them. They’ve worked to free themselves from all their obligations\nand gain a few hours of freedom, just like they did during their\nteenage years. It hasn’t been easy, but after all, nothing is easy\ndown here!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lola is busily\npreparing. Her new boyfriend left the house in a hurry 5 minutes ago\nwithout giving any explanation. weird. Already the day before, her ex\nasked to babysit their 15-year-old son for two days, pretending it\nwas a soccer match they absolutely didn’t want to miss… Anyways,\nshe knows of course it’s her birthday, but everyone is leaving. As\nshe opens her front door to go to the office, she discovers her two\nbest friends on the steps with a huge bouquet of flowers. She is\nstunned, overwhelmed. She stammers a thank you and looks at her\nwatch; she’s already late. That’s when Marina and Opale immediately\nreassure her: no office today, and the boss knows! This time, Lola\nbursts into tears, and the three girls hug.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is where it all begins: a girls’ day out! The best day possible can begin. A quick coffee at their favorite place, making the world a better place, laughing, and enjoying every second of the rising sun on the terrace. Because of course, the weather is also magnificent! An exceptional April 2nd!
