The eldest of four sisters and three brothers. His parents, wealthy aristocrats, spoiled their children till their last breath. The girls married wealthy men. The brothers entered the army. Maximilian preferred the religious orders. His attraction to religion began during his first communion. A magnificent ceremony with breathtaking choirs.
