Oil on canvas \u2013 11,81 x 15,75 inch \u2013 Unique work – SOLD<\/strong><\/span> I had a time in my tomcat life when I had my mom 24\/7 at home. She almost never got out.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In three weeks, I only saw her leave for 20 minutes with a shopping bag on her shoulder. And then some time later, with a little more food this time. And what about me\u00a0? I felt good, peaceful, I had enough food and litter, just as usual. So what was happening ?<\/p>\n A set ritual everyday. In the morning, no alarm clock, ever! I never bothered her. No. She takes care of my daytime sleep during the day. So to be fair, I respect her night sleep. Well, I admit that some nights, it was stronger than me. I acted like a pain in the neck, I would run in all the rooms with my husky meowing of a winner dominant male. But she never got angry. She whispered to join her on the bed, that it was still the middle of the night.<\/p>\n Did she always get up with difficulty? It wasn\u2019t new, my mom is an artist of the night, not too much of the early morning! After daily habits, toilets, showers, coffee and toast, the schedule varied from one day to the other, especially for her! It was, either preparing the canvases with layers, and again layers of a white thing and it broke my ears; either a documentary about a painter, a museum; either writing a text (like this one by the way!); either she fed her canvas with pigments. Ah, the smell of odorless white spirit … The medium, too. She was very careful to ventilate, but her smell was delicate.<\/p>\n Oh and I almost forgot her vocal training for her choir class. Soprano! Seriously? I never said anything, I even stayed with her, or even joined her. She didn\u2019t always sing well but she put all her soul into it\u2026 She also cooked her lunch, but for dinner it was more like a snack. She sometimes painted until late, very late at night. I did my best to make myself seen, in vain …<\/p>\n Finally, she would speak on the phone, but not very often!<\/p>\n I had a time in my tomcat life when I had my mom 24\/7 at home.
