And to think that I didn’t know the northern beaches …

You know what ? I would have missed something, something amazing, really! I insist ! Fine white sand stained with pale ocher, a sea with a color … not turquoise blue, but close. And also miles and miles to cover along the rollers that end up at my ankles, my calves, my knees, well it all depends on how far I sink into the waves out to sea. Strong tides which precisely offer this huge space. The distances ? Obviously, even in the middle of summer, the crowd is not as dense as on the French Riviera and that’s a good thing.

With this brief presentation of the site, I still wonder why so many people go far, very far away, take a plane, all that, while at hand, a little paradise offers its arms to them. Humans will always surprise me. To be completely honest, I was the first one to ignore the existence of such a treasure. Of course, I agree, the water temperature doesn’t reach 28 degrees, I’ll give you that. But the outside temperature is worthy of the southern continents. I can assure you!

And this light, ideal for photographers, so clear, so fresh, so colored too. And this little boat which rocks on the imaginary waves. Held like that, by a wooden stake, driven into the sand, among the holidaymakers lying on their beach towels, the children shaking tons of sand to the great displeasure of the adults around them. How long has it been there? As far as I’m concerned, I don’t know, but it looks great, there on its own, with its bright blue hull. But where is it going? What is it thinking?

Away, the horizon line offers the infinitely unreachable. An irresistible blur that touches the tormented blue sky with a few harmless white clouds. Sometimes grey, but it’s only to look pretty! As I stare at the surroundings, the sound of the waves holds my breath and takes me to a sweet sense of peace and freedom. An interior research within my reach, at last, which simply comes to me. What an unexpected feel good. I would like to fix this feeling forever in my happy memories …
