If there is one unfathomable mystery, it is this one. We may try to grasp the world in our arms for fear it will slip away, but it will be no use. The universe is elusive. It bestows gifts upon those who deserve them, it teaches lessons to those who need them, it watches over those in danger, and it propels those ready to take the next step forward.

In the turmoil of daily life, we struggle as best we can. The trials are sometimes cruel, difficult. It can lead us to the brink of the abyss. It is up to each of us to close the window we open before jumping. Nothing will be sent our way that we cannot face. Healing is painful, but the stakes are high. Victory is attainable, despite a path that is sometimes winding.

Each step is crucial. In the moment, it’s impossible to realize it. With hindsight, we become aware of the distance traveled, of the weight lifted. Only the present moment matters. The past is what it is; it doesn’t define us. We must leave it where it is. The future is merely a projection of our thoughts. It doesn’t exist; it is experienced step by step. The passage is narrow, but it can be crossed.

Let us be swept away by the whirlwind of life. The colors that cling to our skin, to the retinas of our childlike wonder. Let our candor, our innocence, fill this space-time of the present. Let our hearts be moved, let our emotions resurface, let our tears and laughter flow freely.

The virus of inner joy is the key, so let’s learn to tame it and use it to our heart’s content. It will give us so much satisfaction and well-being. It will help us avoid doubt, sadness, and sometimes even illness.

So let’s join the dance, invent the choreography of our lives, live each step, each movement of our arms and heads, as if it were our last. Let’s breathe slowly, gently, at our own pace, according to our inner capacity. Let’s allow ourselves to navigate trials and plunge into the vast unknown that welcomes us. Let’s allow ourselves to be surprised, to live without compromise, to flee from toxicity and embrace the energy that surrounds us. Let’s allow ourselves to taste the sun that warms us, to look forward to the rainy days that quench our thirst, to receive the wind that refreshes us…
