Odette, Louisette, Pierrette, Yvette and Georgette are friends since childhood. They met the first day at school. And that was 75 years ago!Odette is the most bossy, no wonder, she’s the eldest! She is always strictly on time, even ahead and when she honks in front of Louisette’s house, her eagerness is loud and clear. Her friend comes out hurriedly but turns back halfway before coming out again dressed with her Bigouden cap. An incomprehensible mumbling welcomes her. Actually, each one of them deserved it that day! Georgette is the worst. She loves to be cheeky with Odette, their « cheerleader »! Therefore she waited for more than a quarter of an hour before letting herself out, pretending a critical phone call, then a splitting headache requiring an immediate auto medication, at last, a sudden and vital wee. To cut things short, when the Famous Five finally reaches the fair of Portrieux, it’s overcrowded and the car parks are expensive, very expensive. Never mind, Odette parks where it’s not allowed but she doesn’t give a damn shit. The quartet remains silent and follows obediently, in single file, the oppressive old woman.

Once in the middle of the fair, they realize it’s a delight for the five senses. A sweet mix of colors and smells live side by side. Odette, with her favourable corpulence, opens the way. Louisette and Pierrette, real « cordons bleus » are in ecstasy before a stall of cooking utensils and particularly copper pans that would make Chefs kill for ! Yvette, the sweetest, has a chat about cheese making and brine with Odette in front of a herd of goats. As for Georgette, the rebel, she enjoys a local beer tasting, her only weakness.

Who is the first one to ask for lunch? Surprisingly, it’s Yvette, despite her 110 pounds and 5,9 feet! Basketball player? She thought of it but her father was clearly against leaving the town, district, aera and moreover to practise a men’s sport? No way ! Get a husband, havechildren, eventually a job was all she could dream of! The unbreakables agree for a crêperie. Inside the restaurant, it’s a full swing atmosphere and the five women intend to be part of it.
