Acrylic on canvas – 12 x 9,5 inch – Unique work
Seeing animals is great, but locked up in a zoo… It’s not the same. So I thought, why not an imaginary zoo? A zoo in my head, in my imagination!
So, we have the lioness shining brightly, watching out for potential danger to protect her offspring. What a unique kindness. Tirelessly managing the hunt, the offspring. Ensuring that the Lion King, His Majesty, lacks nothing. What courage!
Then, I see the cat running away or hunting or playing, depending on its mood, depending on the circumstances of its life. Or hey, what if it’s waiting for something, or someone. Why not… Right nearby, here’s the meerkat. Standing on its hind legs, it’s also keeping watch. It’s afraid of the crocodile that’s not far away. Oh dear, it could almost touch it. This is not the time to panic! Especially since just above its head, it sees a snake flying. It’s so huge that it never ends.
What does the grizzly bear think? He doesn’t think much… Except that this painting is a bit of a mess. It’s strange to see so many animals rubbing shoulders in such a small space! And it’s not over yet. A kangaroo touches the sky. Yes, I assure you. He’s watching over the whole troop, obviously. Well, what else would he do? A boxing match, why not, but there needs to be a second one, or it wouldn’t be fair. I’m going to turn the painting over and check by myself.
A lion cub… So the
lioness was right to stay nearby. And lots of rabbits too… But
they’re going to get eaten alive. Help…
But what’s that fish
doing? Could there be water? A pond? A river? This one’s got nerves.
A real adventurer who’s apparently afraid of nothing.
No way, a child’s head… Luckily, an adult is right next to him. Phew, I sure hope he’ll protect him. But from what? I’d forgotten, carried away by my thoughts. It’s all just imagination, an invented, dreamed, suggested reality. There won’t be any victims tonight, just friends from different backgrounds paying each other a little visit, telling each other stories.
Fairy tales are great.
