Oil on cardboard – 12 x 12 inch – Unique work
Ellen feels good. Ellen is happy. The weather is magnificent, she is free, nothing and no one can disturb her state of pure joy.
She stands by her daughter, her cat, and a few hand-picked friends, as they say. To be honest, they sorted themselves out! With so many setbacks she went through, few followed her. After all, natural selection is not such a bad thing, quite the contrary.
All this beautiful little world is in a very specific place, but it could be anywhere. In fact, the location is irrelevant. So it will not be mentioned here in these few lines. Some hold a flute, a glass in their hand: champagne, fruit juice, shots, cocktail; others, a small plate with very nice little things to nibble on; and the latest change maps with always excellent ideas.
The soft chirping of birds accompanies the assembly, the sound of water refreshes the spirits, the sun warms the senses, and the breeze… lifts the skirts of the girls! If heaven exists… The vibe shouldn’t be far from what Ellen is experiencing right here right now.
Suddenly she has an
idea. Right next to this mystery place, there is a field. Well, so
far, nothing special. Except that this field jealously and generously
shelters splendid flowers of all colors. And Ellen adores the color
above anything else, whatever it is. That’s her thing!
She
bounces the idea around. And … everyone, without exception, follows
her.
It’s a real chase between the stems because the idea is not to damage the flowers. Pick them, of course, but no more. And moreover, with moderation and, of course, with the permission of the master of the field! Everyone goes with their imagination, their rhythm, their audacity, their tastes. Gradually, the bouquets bloom. Some are monochromatic and generally in the designer’s favorite color. Others play with even or odd numbers. Ellen, meanwhile, makes a completely different choice. Unable to make up her mind, she chose a multitude of bright, pastel tones. Ellen manages to create a bouquet of seventeen tulips, faithful to who she truely is, mixing white, pale pink, purple, yellow and orange, which she gives as an offering to the so delicious heavens.
