Oil on cardboard – 9,5 x 13 inch – Unique work
And this night of November 26 was no exception. It was one hell of a party.
It was Tiffany’s wedding. And as times are tough, all the guests decided, without even consulting each other, to make this day count. The whole community really, really wanted to have fun. And that’s what all the little mice did!
No need for a written, printed and mailed announcement. Simple word of mouth is so much easier and above all effective. it’s math. It starts with one, then two, then four, then… Well, you have got it. Mice are very smart and even more efficient, let it be said.
They have been working on it for days, weeks, months. They criss-crossed all the roofs of Paris to find the best spot. There was only one imperative: to have a view of the Eiffel Tower. When it sparkles, it’s magical and Tiffany loves it!
At the last minute, her little sister sets her sights on this particular place. The big iron lady is visible, but not too much, the roofs are relatively close to each other and the many chimneys are perfect distractions for children and surely some adults will lend themselves to a cat and mouse game but without a cat. Well, the goal is not to be disturbed by a feline. And precisely this place is special for that. No cats around. Why ? No idea, but the main thing is to have found a quiet place for the wedding!
The big day finally arrives. Everyone, without exception, is there. The future bride is stunning, the future groom is not left out. The bridesmaids and groomsmen are so cute. The blessing, very moving, made the parents of the bride and groom cry and several members of the assembly too. The sumptuous reception entertained the whole troop. At the time of the ball, how wonderful to see all these mice waddling to the rhythm of musical instruments improvised for the occasion: tin cans, plastic bottles, old pots. A crazy atmosphere until the end of the night.
Dawn is already breaking, most of the guests have returned back home, but if you look closely, you can see a mouse on a fireplace: it’s Tiffany, that’s for sure.
