Oil on cardboard – 8 x 8 inch – Unique work
He’s all grey, he was born very small and that’s fine!
One spring day, as the tulips slowly invade the fields, almost at the top of a hill, he appeared. He was not born very brave. No, he’s not very good at work. Sometimes he even refuses to spin its blades. By challenge? Laziness? Nobody knows. So he sulks, he turns, turns around, moves a few inches, just to crush a few pink flowers in the process, then finally gets back in place. Nothing but outright provocation. Tulips are easy-going, they do not complain, they endure in calm and serenity, protected by their breathtaking beauty.
Today, the sky is blue but also pink. It perfectly reflects the tender color of tulips on the ground. These young ladies are very flattered to be thus represented in the firmament. It’s like a consecration. How lucky they are! The darker tulips are a little jealous of this success. They do not understand why they do not appear in the sky. Well yes, why? Too bad, they will take the opportunity to get on the nerves of the mill a little. This little grey and very small guy who overshadows them, who sometimes crushes them. The beautiful light pinks next to them are not resentful. Dark rose tulips are a whole different story. They’re like…
How is the daily life of all these little people going? It’s as simple as: each his way. Everyone wakes up at their own pace. And in the same family, not everyone opens their eyes at the same time. So the hill doesn’t light up instantly but it really doesn’t matter. The latest to emerge is??? and yes, the mill all grey and very small. He shakes his blades lightly one after the other to stretch his limbs. He lets his friends the tulips wake up completely before trampling on them, it’s much more fun that way.
In conclusion, for
anyone who crosses their destiny, feels, despite everything, a lot of
sweetness among this harmony of sometimes complementary colors. A
touch of breeze, a breath of heat and you’re done.
He’s
all grey, he was born very small and that’s fine.
