Some legends cross time…

In the middle of nowhere or in the end not particularly. In a secret place or in the end not particularly. In an austere and freezing place or in the end… maybe a little bit. A deep and cold lake surrounded by mountains sheltering strange creatures, but, unreachable to the lonely walker.

There is however a tenuous path, barely visible from the road, which leads to the steep shore of this wide area. It’s precisely there that one day William finds himself wandering by accident. Even if, as we all know deep down, coincidence doesn’t exist.

He walked a lot in the moors of his native Scotland. He wanted to think about his life, his future priorities. Above all, blend into real, beautiful, lively nature. And among all this life, he feels her suffering and calling for help. We must learn to respect all beings, even the most invisible. Especially those ones in fact. They are part of a whole. They are part of us as we are part of them. They don’t belong to us in any way, we’re just linked to each other and in a …

As William is lost among his interrogations and despite his half closed eyes, he sees something, far away, in the meanders, in the confines, in the detours of this sacred lake. It could be a wave, a big wave. No, not a tsunami, it can’t be, not on a lake. Or maybe … No, the thing is strangely close to where he stands. But instead of freaking out, William chooses serenity and observation. Two major assets for a scientist, which he is, after all, for a long time now.

A cold wind passes through him, big grey clouds above him, a sudden torrential rain falls down on his head. The shape is now clearly shaped. It’s only a few meters from him. And while a dazzling lightning bolt smashes the angry skies, the creature rises, out of the water, a few seconds, to touch the human being, more stuck than scared to death. The hot steaming nostrils breathe loudly near William’s soggy face. And as he tries to reach it with his right hand, it disappears for eternity.
