The place is magnificent. Located on the banks of the Amstel River, Brasserie Marie is a must-see restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam. It owes its name to a strong and independent woman, the cousin of Gérard Heineken. The latter is passionate about fashion, traveling to the Côte d’Azur in France and botanical gardens. The menu draws its inspiration from French flavors.

It was in 2011, at the Centre Pompidou, in Paris, that I discovered, with my daughter, Yayoi Kusama, an avant-garde contemporary Japanese artist who is all at once a painter, a sculptor and an author. My daughter, passionate about Japan, literally dragged me to go with her. What a wonderful surprise!
Sidranne was lucky to participate to a collective exhibition in a pop-up store in Amsterdam (Berenstraat, 24), organized by Germain Henneka.
